(WPDE) New paramobile golf cart empowers Grand Strand veterans with disabilities

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — A new tool was unveiled for disabled veterans along the Grand Strand on Tuesday afternoon.

This paramobile golf cart will allow veterans with physical disabilities to get back out and play golf.

The cart was rolled out for the first time at the Barefoot Golf Resort driving range.

Project Golf’s Executive Director said the cart really does change veteran’s lives.

“They’re born again once they learn how to balance, with the physics and turning in the chair. But they’re very happy, and we’re very happy that Tito’s allowed us to do this.”

The cart was tested out during the Tito’s sponsored PGA HOPE where 25 veterans and six PGA professional instructors were certified in adaptive golf and military culture.
