The programs we offer for the three targeted segments of our Pillars are the lifeblood of the success we are experiencing. Each of the programs are designed specifically to create a comfortable, non-intimidating environment in which our students can learn at their pace and skill level and be confident when they are done that they will meet like-minded friends and be much more comfortable to participate in the golfing community.
- We provide Veterans (able & disabled) a gateway to golf.
- We offer a comforting environment for Veterans to find solace.
- Through golf, we connect isolated Veterans with people who care.
- We empower wounded or injured Veterans through Adaptive Golf.
Dedicated to advocating the virtues of golf, PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is a military program of PGA REACH, the charitable foundation of the PGA of America. PGA HOPE introduces golf to Veterans that are able and disabled to enhance their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being.
The Program introduces the game of golf through a developmental 6 – 8 week curriculum, taught by PGA Professionals trained in Adaptive Golf and military cultural competency. All programs are funded by PGA REACH and supplemented by PGA Section Foundations – so the cost is FREE to all Veterans.
Juniors & Underserved Youth
Project Golf is dedicated to providing junior golfers with the skills, equipment, and mentorship needed to improve themselves both on and off the course. Through our various youth programs, and your generous donations, we are able to continue building a strong foundation for these youths within the sport and their communities. Our programs are designed to address their age and skill level as well as creating learning experience that help kids uncover their inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that they can carry to everything they do.
Newcomers & "An Introduction to Golf"
Project Golf's program for those that are new to the game provides people with relevant information and top-quality instruction to begin playing. Our 90-minute programs are designed specifically to create a comfortable, non-intimidating environment in which our students can learn at their pace and skill level. The programs address all aspects of the game and golf swing. They are offered at various times, once per week, for 6 weeks, at different locations across the Grand Strand. Golf equipment can be provided.
