(WPDE) CCU, HGTC students awarded with golf management scholarships

Scholarships were presented to students from Coastal Carolina University and Horry Georgetown Technical College on Thursday for those wishing to pursue golf and turf management.

The scholarships were awarded by Gary Schaal, PGA and Executive Director of Project Golf and HTC.

The new student scholarships were tied to golf education and local veteran families. Golf and turf management are vital to both the local economy and the game’s future, according to event organizers.
