Robert Anthony Mancino, of Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. A proud U.S. Army veteran and reservist, Bob was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant after graduating from Norwich University with a degree in Civil Engineering. He went on to earn a Master’s in Environmental Engineering and enjoyed a distinguished 40-year teaching career, retiring as Professor Emeritus from Capital Community College. Bob took special pride in his military service and the lifelong bonds he formed with his “Old Guard” brothers.
Above all, Bob lived for golf. From Connecticut courses to leading the Myrtle Beach Players Group with bi-weekly rounds, tournaments, and annual trips, the game was his joy and his way of bringing people together. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Deanna; son Nicholas (Megan); daughter Lauren; grandchildren Kase and Anna; sister Lynn; and a large extended family who will miss his gentle strength and ready smile.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Project Golf, a cause close to Bob’s heart that supports disabled veterans and underserved youth through the game he loved: projectgolf.org.
